Box Brownie

Box Brownie is an on-going series of images taken using a 1920’s Kodak No.2 Hawk-eye Model C Box Brownie.

The Box Brownie was the first mass produced, mass purchased camera. The Hawk-eye Model C is inherently a point and shoot camera, the photographers only control is composition and when to fire the shutter. As viewers we are now used to masses of pin sharp perfectly exposed travel photos, perhaps the other, the exotic could be appreciated more in these not so sharp moments?
